There seems to be a constant push within the population in America for transparency in government. People want to know what the government has in mind, what it is they want to do, and why they want to do it. People expect their politicians to actually expose their motives, expose their agendas and expose their ideas. They expect them to be straightforward and precise as to their communications and tell exactly what it is they intend to do, and why they intend to do it.
Of course, knowing our political system we all realize this is wishful thinking. But we should also realize that if the general population can’t do it, then why would we think that the politicians can do it. The politicians come from the general population and if the general population can’t be transparent in its lives, can’t communicate precisely what their intentions are, how can we expect that of other people?
