#120 Holiness

If someone were to ask you to tell them what “evil” meant, I think that you’d be able to do it and it wouldn’t be too difficult an assignment. But if someone asked to tell them what “holy” meant, I think it would be more difficult for you to be able to come to cognizance of what it means and then to convey that to someone else.

So let’s ask the question. What is holiness? What is holy? What separates holy from evil? Why is there an inclination towards evil and why is there an inclination towards that which is holy? What are the inner makings of people who are inclined towards that which is evil, and what’s the makeup of people who are inclined towards the holy?

At the time of creation, when the rays were sent forth from Allah to come into being as individual creations, they took on form which individuated them, at least in the way the senses perceive individuation and separation. They became part of, intermingled with, earth, air, fire, water and ether, the elemental sources, and became a walking elemental configuration.
