#94 Destiny – Part II

The world is full of fortune-tellers, and everyone is very intrigued about their fortunes. There are palm readers. There are astrologists. There are tea leaf readers. There are chicken bone readers. There are people who tell fortunes from the movements of geckos. Everyone wants to know what’s going to happen to them. Everyone is intrigued about the future of their being. But if we look closely at what people are intrigued with and what they are trying to find out and the kinds of questions that they ask about themselves, the questions usually have to deal with what is the future of this physical body. How is it going to be within in a certain number of years? Is it going to be married? Is it going to have wealth? Is it going to have children? Where is it going to be located? What kinds of things will it be doing?

So, there are all of these industries, the fortune-telling industries, that are tied into the physical body and everybody’s needs to know about themselves, which they consider their physical body. But we are not just a physical body, and our fortune is not just what happens to this physical body. I could predict with great accuracy the fortune of each one of the physical bodies that I see in the world. And the fortune is that it is going to die. And it is either going to be cremated or buried or eaten by animals or rot. But that’s the fortune, and that fortune is for everybody! And I could hold myself out to be a fortune-teller with probably a much greater accuracy rate than any of the ones who hold themselves out to be fortune-tellers in the world.

However, nobody wants to pay for that fortune. Nobody wants to pay to be told that. Everybody wants to pay to know what’s going to happen in that tiny span of time between now and that fortune. Interesting. We’re all interested in a tiny span of time. We’re all looking forward to knowing what’s going to happen in the next few moments. What’s going to happen to this bubble before it bursts?
