#67 The Mirror

If we look into a mirror, a mirror reflects what it sees or what’s projected into it. It gives it right back, and it gives it back pretty straight. There’s no interference with the reflection. The reflection comes back as an honest portrait of what is presented to it. Even with the immense honesty of a mirror, there is still distortion. If you hold letters in front of a mirror or a page of a book in front of a mirror, you can see the distortion much easier than if you just look into it yourself. It turns things around, so you get it a little bit different than they go in. But it’s a very honest purveyor of that which is put in front of it.
